My experience of ‘Filmistaan’

In the recent past we have had many indo-pak high on emotion, high on drama parables as a screenplay. Some target the delicate political and social sentiment manoeuvring patriotic sentiments, while others cultivate disarray. But this recent tale of the two nations, sharing a kinship of tradition and cultures, grows on simpler yet effective grounds.

Select Citywalk :- Cinema in Saket
I recently had the pleasure of watching ‘Filmistaan’ at PVR Saket, a tale of dirt heroes with an exceptional story. The simplicity of the entire screenplay and the natural setup will keep you mesmerized till the end. This movie, unlike others, neither developed n hatred nor toyed with other emotions that are typical of indo pak relationships.

Instead, it fosters a bond much more modest and beautiful—the common love for Bollywood. No matter how unbelievable the concept may sound, but the debutant director, Nitin Kakkar has done it. Often the simplest of tales are the hardest to tell, but the newbie has left an impressive remark with his crisp screenplay and fresh outlook. And then I knew, the decision of investing my three hours at this cinema in saket was completely worth it.

The dialogues done by Sharib Hashmi, also one of the leads in the movie, are not too doped on verbiage and emotional drama, but can still register the deep imprint of an undertone of sentiment. You can enjoy a thought provoking cute little screenplay amid the grandeurs of PVR saket.

It is the story of an Indian trapped in a Pakistani militant camp, who happens to make friends with a native folk. In their comic yet soul reaching recitation of long forlorn dreams, sunny tells his mate that he inspired to become a Bollywood hero, though accepting that he doesn’t have it in him.

The cute canoe splutters mix emotions in our hearts as it moves further in, without including any of that high edge drama. The story doesn’t end here as it marvels; it has a message to offer in the end.
Since the movie is still on, I won’t spoil all the fun by revealing too much. Go for it and I’m sure you will love it.
